*Pretty Pink Petty* ~ Orlando Children Photographer ~

So....I finally broke down and bought a petty skirt and I love, love, love it!  I couldnt wait to get out and take some shots, so Reese was the lucky chosen one and got stuck being my model yesterday.  She was less than thrilled as I can imagine....it was a tad bit hot out and the grass was still damp from the afternoon showers.  We didnt stay out long and I only got two shots worth sharing, but I am pleased with my two and cant wait to take more!  Here is my baby girl posing in my new "pretty pink petty!"

Kids Beating Cancer - Rockin' Art Day 2008 ~ Orlando Event Photographer ~

Although I have a strong love for photography and I am extremely grateful for my growing business, I think I will keep my day job.  Not only is it one of the coolest companies to work for, but it is truly one of the best companies I have worked for that gives back.  As part of the Hard Rock family I have the opportunity to participate in some of the most rewarding events. 

This past Friday I had the pleasure of participating in the Kids Beating Cancer - Rockin' Art Day 2008.  This is my second year donating my time and this year I was honored to be asked to do the event photography.  The Hard Rock Cafe joined forces with Kids Beating Cancer and the Hard Rock Hotel Orlando to put on an amazing event for the kids and their families.  The kids brought their families and siblings and participated in some pretty cool activities from making colorful sand guitars to leaving their legacy by putting their hand print on one of the ever so famous Hard Rock logo tees....which by the way will be auctioned off the raise money for Kids Beating Cancer.

It was such a joy to see all the smiles on the kids faces and watch them light up the room with their hope, love, and strength.  It was truly an amazing event and I am thankful to have been a part of it.  I cant wait for next years Rockin' Art Day!!

Madeline Belle McGrew ~ Orlando Newborn and Maternity Photographer ~

My Grandfather was just blessed with his 12th Great-grandchild.  Maddie entered the world and our family on Thursday, June 12th and I had the pleasure of meeting my new little cousin for the first time July 4th weekend.  I couldnt let the weekend go by without snapping a couple photos of the new little angel.  She is such a sweetheart and so quiet.  Here is the newest addition to our family....

Makenna Grace West ~ Orlando Newborn and Maternity Photographer ~

I would like to take a minute to welcome little Miss Makenna into the world.  At three weeks old I got to visit her mommy and spend some time taking her pictures.  It was quite a challenge, but only because her big brother loves her so and wanted to be right there with her.  He must have kissed her cheeks 20 times while I was there.  He is going to be very protective of his little sister someday.  Congratulations Traci and Troy - she is adorable!

I enjoyed an amazing shoot today with my beautiful, gorgeous, and super sweet cousin Kara.  We had such a blast!!  Kara has a natural beauty and the camera really likes her.  She is such an amazing young woman and I am so proud to call her family.  I love you girl!

I had a hard time choosing which ones to post in this sneak peak....there are so many good ones and I cant wait to get my hands on the rest.


   

Happy Birthday Grandma ~ We miss you!

Today is my Grandmothers Birthday and I wish she was here to celebrate, but she is celebrating with all the angels up in Heaven.  It has been just over 15 months since she had to leave and I miss her more and more everyday.  On the one year anniversary of her passing my amazing husband bought me a new Willowtree for my collection to honor my Grandmother.  He couldnt have picked a better one, "Loving Angel."  Not only does that truly fit, but the little angel is holding a rose which just so happened to be my Grandmother favorite and also her middle name.  I took these pictures in honor of her and the amazing woman she was and still is in our hearts.

Class of 2009

I would like to introduce Kiley, my Class of 2009 Senior Rep.  I finally got to meet her in person this past weekend and we spent a couple of hours together capturing her senior portraits. It had to have been one of my favorite shoots so far.  Aside from being beautiful, Kiley was a pro in front of the camera.  She barely needed any direction from me and gave me pose after pose after pose.  She is such a sweetheart and I am honored to have her on board as my senior rep.  She is the first of what I hope to be many.  Thanks Kiley and also a special thanks to your mom for tagging along and being my A.T.A.
